The release date cannot move. The campaign can.

WVE runs music marketing campaigns, release build-ups, streaming growth, creator seeding and sustained distribution, for record labels, artist managers and independent acts. Since 2019 that work has supported 330+ artists and contributed to 211 Billboard Hot 100 entries and 220+ billion total plays.

The work

What WVE does for artists and labels.

Music is where WVE started. The infrastructure, the creator network, the clipping operation, the attribution layer, was built to solve release-cycle problems first, then extended to other categories.

A release campaign is built backwards from the date. The date does not move; the plan moves around it. That means establishing the record on platforms before it is available, concentrating distribution at the moment it lands, and sustaining that distribution through the weeks after, which are the weeks that actually determine whether a record charts or fades.

The mechanism is straightforward: getting a track used, not just heard. A sound adopted in user-generated content, appearing across the creator niches where the listener already spends time, spreads through recommendation systems in a way that a single upload from the artist's own channel cannot. Platform algorithms promote what they observe being used organically; the campaign creates that observation at scale.

That work runs across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and X, because discovery behaves differently on each. A strategy built only around one platform leaves the others as passive beneficiaries at best.

Beyond the release

Streaming growth and chart performance are the immediate objectives, but an artist campaign also covers what sustains between releases: fan-page and creator seeding that maintains presence without requiring new studio output, merchandise timed to moments when attention is already peaking, and long-form content, podcasts, YouTube series, interviews, that builds the kind of audience relationship short-form alone cannot.

A creator network spanning 140+ niches includes fan pages and interest accounts, not only macro-influencers. Music travels through communities. Reaching a listener through a fan account they already follow works differently from reaching them through a paid post, and both have a place in a complete campaign.

Ideal client

Who this is for.

The common thread is a fixed date and an audience that needs to hear a record before they can respond to it. Labels, managers and independent acts face the same constraint at different scales.

01

Record labels

Running release campaigns across a roster demands consistent process and enough distribution surface to handle multiple drops in a cycle. WVE works with global major labels as well as independents.

02

Artist managers

Each release needs to outperform the last, and the gap between campaign quality and a record's commercial performance narrows as the artist grows. Managers bring WVE in when the stakes make that gap expensive.

03

Breaking new acts

A first single has no existing audience to compound from. Sound seeding and creator distribution build the surface area the algorithm needs to begin promoting the record organically.

04

Independent artists

Without label infrastructure, an independent act is building distribution from scratch. WVE's network supplies the reach that a team of one cannot, at the time in the release cycle when it matters most.

05

Publishers and rights holders

Catalogue activation, surfacing an existing body of work rather than a new release, uses the same creator seeding and clipping infrastructure as a launch campaign, applied to material that has already been made.

06

Not a fit

Artists whose underlying record is not ready to be heard at scale. Distribution exposes a weak release faster than anything else. If the music is not there yet, the honest answer is to come back when it is. We will say so.

Campaign structure

How a release campaign is run.

Five stages, shaped around the release date. The campaign starts before the record is available, because release-day momentum depends on what was built in the weeks before it.

1. Platform mapping and trend discovery

Before anything is distributed, the sounds, formats and creator niches that currently have momentum on each platform are mapped. Building on existing momentum is cheaper than manufacturing it. This stage decides which niches to seed first and what kind of content the record should be placed alongside, and it is done against the release date, not at the start of a generic retainer.

2. Sound seeding and pre-release build

Teaser content and sound seeding establish the track on platforms before it is available. The goal is to create the organic signals, saves, shares, user-generated clips using the sound, that tell recommendation systems to treat the record as relevant on the day it lands. A release starting from zero on the day of release is starting too late.

3. Release-day distribution

At release, distribution concentrates: creator posts go live, fan-page seeding peaks, and content multiplication puts the record across every relevant surface simultaneously. The release window is narrow and the algorithm's first read of the record's performance happens inside it. Everything built in stage two is there to make that read favourable.

4. Sustained clipping and creator content

Charts are determined by what happens after release day, not on it. Clipped short-form content, cut from studio sessions, live footage, interviews, music videos, sustains presence through the weeks that matter for streaming totals and chart accumulation. This is also where new audiences find a record for the first time; discovery does not stop at release.

5. Reading it and compounding

Campaign performance is tracked in Centryl by hook, by creator, by placement and by platform while there is still budget to act on it. Content earning traction gets more distribution; formats that are not working are dropped. This stage also produces the record of what worked, which is the starting point for the next release rather than a blank sheet.

What you receive

The campaign and its assets

All short-form cuts, creator briefs and content placements, delivered as platform-ready masters and documented by placement, yours to keep and reuse.

Creator and niche coverage map

Which creator niches were activated, which placements performed, and which audience segments responded, so the next campaign starts with a map of what already worked.

Performance report by stage

Pre-release signals, release-day reach, and post-release sustain reported separately rather than blended, so the contribution of each phase is visible.

Hook and format ranking

Which framings, sounds and content formats drove the most use, the reusable asset that informs the next release before a budget is spent.

Named case studies

Campaigns you can check.

Named artists, stated outcomes. Each headline result below is one WVE can substantiate. Only verified outcomes are listed; in-campaign figures cited elsewhere are illustrative texture, not claims.

Max McNown #ALotMoreFree · release campaign

An independent artist with no prior chart history. The campaign centered on creator seeding and sound adoption across TikTok and Instagram before and through the release window, targeting the niches where the track's tone already had organic footholds. The record reached a threshold that changes how the industry treats a new act.

RIAA Certified Platinum First Billboard single
Zara Larsson #MidnightSun · streaming campaign

A global act with an established audience base, where the challenge was sustaining momentum and expanding reach past existing listeners. Creator distribution and fan-page seeding extended the record's discovery surface beyond what the artist's own channels could reach directly.

200M+ streams

RIAA Platinum certification, Billboard chart entry, stream count and Instagram trending position are the headline outcomes for each campaign and are the figures WVE can substantiate. In-campaign breakdowns shown elsewhere on this site, daily flight curves, placement counts, creator leaderboards, are illustrative interface texture and are not claims. The Doechii Grammy (Best Rap Album, 2025) and Leon Thomas Grammy (Best R&B Album, 2026) are additional artist associations confirmed for publication by WVE; those artists are named here in the context of WVE's broader roster, not as direct case-study outcomes.

Scale & methodology

The numbers, with their working.

A figure without its window and its method is a claim, not evidence. Where we do not yet publish the window, this page says so rather than implying one.

330+
Artists supported Cumulative count of artists whose campaigns WVE has contributed to since 2019. Platform-reported where outcomes are cited; artist count is WVE's internal record.
220B+
Streams and plays Cumulative across all artist campaigns since 2019. Counted as reported by each platform, per-platform play definitions differ and are not normalised.
211
Billboard Hot 100 entries Cumulative count of Billboard Hot 100 chart appearances by artists WVE has supported, since 2019. Chart position is Billboard-reported.
560B+
Views on social Cumulative across all campaigns since 2019, platform-reported. Per-platform view definitions differ (3s, 1s, impression) and are not normalised between platforms.

Read this before quoting the figures above. All four are cumulative totals across every campaign WVE has run since 2019, not per-campaign averages and not annualised. They come from WVE's capabilities deck. The per-platform definition of a “view” or “play” is not normalised between platforms, so the streams and views figures should be read as the sum of what each platform reported rather than as a single consistent measure.

FAQ

Questions we actually get.

These mirror the phrasings people and engines use, and each answer matches the FAQPage schema on this page word for word.

How many artists has WVE worked with?

WVE has supported 330+ artists, ranging from independent acts to major-label and Grammy-recognized talent.

That work has contributed to 211 Billboard Hot 100 entries and 220+ billion total plays.

Does WVE work with independent artists or only major labels?

Both. WVE works with global record labels and also directly with independent artists and management teams who do not have label infrastructure behind them.

How does WVE increase streams for a release?

By getting the record used rather than only heard: seeding the sound so it is adopted in user-generated content, placing it in the creator niches where the target listener already spends time, and sustaining distribution through the weeks after release rather than stopping at release day.

Paid media is then applied behind the content already earning traction.

How long before a release should we start?

Before the record is available. Sound seeding and teaser content need time to establish a track on platforms so that release day compounds existing momentum instead of starting from zero.

The exact runway depends on the release and the goal, bring the date to WVE early and the plan can be built around it.

How do I break a song on TikTok?

Breaking a song on TikTok is a function of use, not upload: the track needs to appear in content made by creators the platform already promotes in the right niches, dance, comedy, lifestyle, whatever matches the record, so that the algorithm sees it being used organically and begins surfacing it in feeds. One official post from the artist's own account is not enough.

The mechanism is seeding the sound into a creator and fan-page network that spans the niches your listener already occupies, then sustaining that distribution past the first few days so the platform's recommendation engine continues treating the track as relevant.

Does WVE work on podcasts as well as music?

Yes. Podcast growth and charting is run as part of artist and brand strategy rather than as a separate service, because long-form builds audience relationships short-form cannot and simultaneously supplies the raw material for short-form clipping.
